GPL Match Day Three Wrap Up: Medeama Hold Kotoko in Kumasi, WAFA Thrash Hasaacas 5-0

Asante Kotoko were held to a 2-2 home draw game by Medeama SC on match day three of the 2016 Ghana premier league on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Both sides went into the game with the aim of picking the three maximum points at stake but they had to share the spoils.

Kotoko opened the scoring on the 20 minute mark through Bennet Ofori after an error by Medeama’s goalie Michael Sai.

But before the break Malik Akowuah pulled even for Medeama with an exquisitely 30 yards free kick which left Ofori Antwi rooted to the spot.

The Porcupine Warriors in the second half restored their lead through Michael Yeboah but with 17 minutes to end the game they were stunned after Bismark Oppong beat Ofori Antwi from 20 yards as both sides earned a point in the game.
