2016 GPL: New Edubiase Beat Dwarfs 1-0 In Obuasi

Match day two of the 2016 Ghana premier league came off last Friday as New Edubiase beat Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Both sides went into the game from the backdrop of 1-0 losses to Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC respectively.

Dwarfs controlled the opening minutes of the game as they mounted an intense pressure on the away side searching for the opener but Edubiase’s back four led by their inspirational captain Samad Ibrahim curtailed Dwrafs’ dangerous attacks.

The home side also had their moments in the game but they failed to hit the back of the net as the first ended goalless.
Edubiase from recess besieged the goal area of the away side and in the 59 minute Zuberu Fuseini shot the home side into the lead from a close range.

The ‘Yenko Nkoaa’ lads held on to their solitary lead to pick their first three points of the ongoing Ghana premier league.
